No prac work
For the students anyway, just telling them to work on their assignments. Yay. And now that they’ve all realised the lack of work anf compulsory attendance they’ve basically all left by half way.
Which is good, cos it means I get paid to sit on my butt, surfing the web and posting to my blog, but it does increase the boredom.
I can’t wait til I get 6 hours of this on thursday.
In other news, I visited Ryde Reformed Church yesterday. Very good, for what it is. And by that I mean it had awesome preaching (even the Engels scale of evangelism got a look in), but the music was knda boring. It was very well done, even Shine Jesus Shine, but I’m guessing the morning will have much more old hymns, rather than the “contemporary” songs of the evening. But at least they weren’t trying to punch above their weight and do music that the musicians don’t have the skills to do. It could of done with a rhythm section to complement the piano and acoustic guitar, but the pianist was very skilled.
Nice people, decent enough instant coffee, and they do approach you and talk to you (I even got a free lift to the station). I’ll visit the morning service next week, just to get a good overall feel of the church, it’s demographic and size. But overall it was good.
