Well…. No assignments to mark this week, which means no work to do. Which means I’ve read the whole of the interweb, and most of a bike mag I picked up, but I have no energy to read the new Anne Rice novel I also picked up.

This weekend sees the first real Student Life conference for me since I’ve started working. I’m sure I should be more excited, but I have no responsibilities other than looking like a cool biker. So no work there either, but it’ll still be a major energy drain. Especially when you take into account the few people from other unis that I haven’t seen recently who might want to yell at me for some reason (well…. probably just that one specific reason). That or they’ll just give me death stares all weekend. Or perhaps they’ll try to kill me…. oh well, at least that’d be interesting. Of course no matter what happens I’ll be accused of having a thing for someone or other – my money is on whats’her’name, but her’with’the’hair has potential for an upset, and there is always the old favorites who can never be discounted.

Talking things that aren’t interesting – chuck norris. CN was cool 12 months or so ago when Conan O’brien had the lever next to his desk that when pulled played a random clip from Walker. It was funny because Conan would just pull it whenever a joke died. Until Chuck “confronted” Coanan. Then the internet jokes started…. and now they’ve gone mainstream…. so I’m over it. Completely. Totally. At least regular people didn’t really get the All Your Base thing.
