Well…. this is post number 100.

So instead of some long rant about how great its been, or how much fun/pain I’ve had over the many posts, I’ll just copy&paste the article about 100 from wikipedia

100 (number)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

100 (one hundred) (the Roman numeral is C for centum) is the natural number following 99 and preceding 101.

Binary 1100100
Hexadecimal 64

In mathematics

One hundred is the square of 10 (in scientific notation it is written as 102). The standard SI prefix for a hundred is “hecto-”.

It is the sum of the first nine prime numbers, as well as the sum of two prime numbers (47 + 53), and the sum of the cubes of the first four integers. Also, 26 + 62 = 100, thus 100 is a Leyland number.

But perhaps this number is most important as the basis of percentages (literally “per hundred”), with 100% being a full amount.

One hundred is also an 18-gonal number. It is divisible by the number of primes below it, 25 in this case. But it can not be expressed as the difference between any integer and the total of coprimes below it, making it a noncototient.

100 is a Harshad number in base 10, and also in base 4, and in that base it is a self-descriptive number.

Yay! Gilmore Girls social….

I’m happy because I get to watch my favorite show with some other people.

But, I’m sure someone else is happy for a whole different reason (a reason that I wholeheartedly understand, support and accept)

The Staple of DOOM!!!!1!!one!!eleven!!

Well…. I got my bike out on the weekend for a ride, and as I rode off the rear wheel felt funky. So I turned round and checked it – pressure = zero. Tried pumping it up, and watched as it slowly went down over the next hour or so….

Took it to the local bike shop today, and the dude found a tiny staple that had gone into the tyre and just popped a tube. It looked exactly like a standard office staple. Luckily I’ve got tubed tyres, so I only needed to buy a new tube…. and I can ride again. But it means that the 3 day trip I was going to take today is cancelled, although I’ll still be going for a ride up to the Nabiac Motorcycle Museum later this week.

My Computer is Dead pt2

Uncategorized — frozensummers on April 13, 2006 at 2:30 am

Well…. I bought the ps2. I can’t believe how much smaller those slimline ones are to the first-gen one my brother spent too much money on (which is now dead its so old). It’s also much smaller than my Teac DVD player which will go back into storage for now…. although the Teac has no fan so its quieter, which might be useful at somepoint.

As for games, I got Soul Calibur 3 – cos I need a good beat’em’up and I always prefered the Soul series over Tekken or KoF – having completely finished the original Soul Edge. Also got the Sonic Collection that has Sonic CD and Sonic Fighters – sonic games I haven’t played.

I will get Tourist Trophy when its released next month…. and will probably buy some other games too….

My Computer is Dead

Uncategorized — frozensummers on April 9, 2006 at 8:56 pm

Well…. sorta. I got sick of it crash, blue screening, refusing to run games, refusing to install linux and all the other crap it was doing. It basically was reduced to being a big DVD player (since it has no net access), so I decided I might as well just use my actual DVD player – an old-school Teac from back in the day.

So the computer is now sitting with all the other dead machines in the spare room. I suspect that it is dodgy ram and/or dodgy vid-card and/or dodgy hard drive and/or dodgy psu that is causing the issues – but to fix it would cost too much, and just provide me with another old system.

I’d rather just buy a console for games, keep my dvd player for dvds, and use the computers of my parents/jobs for internet stuff.

Luckily I get paid on Thursday, and my bike service was half the price I was expecting, so I think I’ll be buying myself a PS2.

w00t! Accusation #1 for 2006

Uncategorized — frozensummers on April 4, 2006 at 2:22 am

Well…. as I said in my last post: Of course no matter what happens I’ll be accused of having a thing for someone or other. The winner (in terms of the accuser) was Greg, who was one of the favorites in terms of the accusing.

As for the accusee…. well…. I discounted the accusation purely by arguing against the reason. Although I had given out the idea in previous discussions that looking at positioning in the Conference group photos is a good way to determine someones interests… it definately was a good indicator for at least half of the previous conferences I’ve been in group shots for. Mainly because I like to leave these kinds of clues for people. Although studying other people in group shots has proven to be fruitful for predetermining many relationships that have formed in SL.

But it all falls down when it comes to this time, because I didn’t choose my place for this group shot. I was placed by Ian so that he could determine the boundaries of the shot (with The Smith being the other boundary).

Plus I historically only go for white girls….
