Something old, something new

Firstly something old, a “song” I recorded back in 2001 called Outlet (Raw mix ‘o doom) – hosted at ourmedia.org.
Its a bad emo power ballad, recorded badly – using my elcheapo plastic mic (an earlier version of the one on the right). Guitar was my plywood (look to the left) Ashton Ag-240 (Made in Vietnam), the amp was my 10w RokAxe practice amp. Beats were provided by a demo version of Fruity Loops. I’m thinking I might rework this tine with the help of all my modern equipment (like this guitar, this digital modelling multifx unit and garageband). That’ll depend on a few factors, like time, and that I haven’t played guitar in months….
Now, something new – Titanium Flexit framed glasses, and an almost clean face.
If I was wearing something other than a $5 tshirt I might even look respectable.
You look so totally different. I wouldn’t recognise you on the street.
Yep.
I wish I could say you didn’t…. but you aren’t on the list of those I walked right past last week at uni.
Would’ve been surprised if I were on it – I’m retired from Uni. I mean graduated. Whatever.
‘Retired’ makes me feel like a hardnose PI, though, so I like that.
