Luckily the authorities at my school had a better understanding of freedom, because I did some things that would have set of similar alarms bells. For example:
Getting new shirts every 6-12 months because of blood stains from violent confrontations.
Cyberbullying, with a geocities page…. I was threatened with civil action if I didn’t cease and desist and apologise
Regular bullying, cooler kids bullied me and I passed it on down the coolness scale, leading to visits with the school counsellor.
Planning massacres. Our school diary had a nice map which allowed one to plan quite well. Unfortunately one time the authorities were provided with the accompanying enemies list. They thought (since my nemesis has always been a female) that it was due to failed/unrequited romance….

I finally watched the original “zombie”* film the other day. It was okay, and I can definitely see how the idea has developed in the later films. Taken as a stand alone film it was slow, but it was worth it for the nice ending.
It was also good to see a zombie film where there was no vegetarian zombie joke. It was barely funny the first time I heard it, and flims like Zombie Honeymoon (which I also saw last week) just execute it poorly.

Wherein our intrepid students try to influence the marking of the evil DrChaotica via their “physical assets”. This plan backfires when it is discovered that showing virtually your whole bra causes the length of time spent “marking the assignment” to increase dramatically. It is also futile given the woefully slack marking standards of the supervillain in question, and the utterly simple assignment.
Of course, there was some success for that girl who did her assignment last night, admitted it was incomplete, and still got full marks. This success was bought to you by the letter DD.

I plead guilty.
I did it.
I have failed to listen to certain songs in my iTunes library, the evidence being discovered when I created a smart playlist with all my unplayed songs.
Notable Song Inclusions: Master of Puppets – Metallica Cowboys From Hell – Pantera Ace of Spades – Motorhead Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen Mission – King’s X
These aren’t just great songs, they could be the described as the greatest songs by those artists. Artists who I consider among the greatest….

Well…. I was flicking round the televisions and found something worth watching on the channel called Ovation (this is the upperclass art channel). It was another attempt to get young men to watch classical music, a bunch of pretty young women playing violins and keyboards, classical music with some modern club stylings (called Wild). I had it on and they played one of the greatest compositions of the modern era – Jeff Wayne’s “Eve of the War”, from his Musical Version of the War of the Worlds.
So, instead of the version by Wild, I present the 1998 version by Canberra band Alchemist.
