That off kilter groove

Uncategorized — frozensummers on August 21, 2007 at 4:53 am

This is the first song I taught myself on the guitar….

I love the way the verse has a kinda stilted rhythm, while still being really fuckin fast…. it is almost a punk song. I also love how punchy the bass sounds in this specific clip….

Of course, I could once play at least the main riffs for the whole kill ‘em all album…. and this one time, I inserted the chorus from the Four Horsemen into a solo acoustic version of I can only imagine.

That of course was back in the dark ages. Now I spend my days rejecting the stupid pamphlets, writing my own songs and generally being evil – except of course when I’m being nice to the cute girls in class ;-) Don’t stop for nothing it’s full speed or nothing….

  1. That was a much better version of motorbreath than the one I have (a live version from ’98).
